  4. I had my sleeve done on July 29,13 I weighed before I started my pre op diet 266 lbs, on the day of surgery I weighed 242 lbs, now at 7 1/2 mos my current weight is 181 lbs.I had a lot of health problems uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high liver enzymes and getting higher, fatty liver disease, fibromyalgia, syringomyelia. Now my diabetes is controlled my even be able to get off meds,my AC1 was 5.My surgeon told me if I didn't have it done I would be dead in 7 yrs.It was the best thing I've ever done for myself wish I'd done it 30 yrs ago. Just take your vitamins, eat your protein, and drink water, water water.. and walk walk ,walk after surgery. As for throwing up I didn't throw up until I could eat and it was high fat ground meat, pork chops, scrambled eggs. Still can't eat the ground meat unless it's the 96% 4%fat, and cook the pork chops on a roasting pan with a rack, still can't eat scrambled eggs, I can eat them boils, poached, and fried with Pam go figure. Just give them time and let them read some of our post. Would I do it again yes! We are here for you. God. Bless and Good Luck

  16. I relate to what you are saying. The day of my surgery at dinner my husband ordered pizza, I didn't care it didn't even smell good to me. Before my sleeve I would have been furious at him for getting a pizza and eating it in front of me when I couldn't have any.I am 7 1/2 mos out I have gone from. 242on day of surgery,to 181 lbs. It didn't bother me when I was on the dreaded liquid diet when family ate,I would fix my broth or eat a sf pudding or ate a sf jello,I didn't feel left out.Now I eat what ever I want, my down fall has always been sweets. After my sleeve that changed I didn't want them and if I tasted something that I loved to eat it would taste horrible and I had to spit it out. When I want something sweet I make a cloudless peanut butter cookie. They are really pretty good.2 cups peanut butter, 2eggs, 1/2 c trivia baking sugar,1/2 c spendaBrown sugar,1tsp vanilla, mix well drop by spoonful on cookie sheet and bake in a 350 oven.
  17. I weighed 266,before my sleeve. I had bladder incontinence so bad that I never knew when I needed to go. It would just pour out when I would stand up and I couldn't stop it. Immediately after surgery I noticed I didn't have it anymore. Before surgery I had lost down to 242, I now weigh at 7 1/2 mos 181 lbs. I went from wearing briefs to wearing panties again with a treasure pad and I rarely mess it up.

  19. Don't get discouraged, this is normal, when I was still on all liquids post open I couldn't stand it either. Just remind your self why you did this for yourself. I promise you this will pass and it will be the best thing you ever did for you. I would dream about getting to eat " real food again", but you just keep on going doing the right thing. Don't rush things when you graduate to soft foods you can take 1 cup of chicken broth add 3 tbs instant mashed potatoes ,add a little shredded cheddar cheese for potatoes soup it's really good my fab was loaded potatoes. Good luck
  20. Congrats on your weight loss. Keep up the hard work.

  22. I have lost a total of 85 lbs, I am 58 and. I have the belly flap, and arm skin hanging way down, loose skin on my thighs and my behind has dropped down lower. I still have a weigh to go my 1 yr anniversary is JULY 29 I hope to be at my goal weight by then. I have started thinking about Plastic Surgery I need it everywhere lol.The only problem is my insurance is Cigna Health Spring, and I don't think they will pay for anything but my belly and hopefully my breast. I will just have to live with the rest and hope I don't look to bad.
  23. I had my sleeve on 7/29/13, I weighed 266 when I started. my pre opdiet, which was full liquid, I lost down to 242 day of my surgery. Now at 7 mos I weigh 185, I think everyone started noticing must loss in my face I think I had lost about 30 lbs. My clothes started getting loose around 15-20 lbs. I was in a 22-24 now I wear a 16-18.I still am shocked when I go clothes shopping, where the are a full length mirror, I am always surprised at how much smaller I am.
