Day 4 -home

I can't believe I was able to sleep on my side with no pain at all. That was a major plus. Did not take any medications today and not planning to take any.

I am having a hard time drinking my liquids. I just want regular food. Like I am literally locking myself in my room so I say away from the kitchen. There are so many delicious food that I want to have lol. My mouth is really dry and I already had some tea this morning and now I'm eating some Jello. I do feel weak, I wonder if I'm not having enough drinks. I hope this gets better soon.

When I woke up this morning I forgot I had surgery lol. No pain at all. When I got up walking I could feel a little pain but nothing major.

I want some Soup right now . I am following instructions to the tea but it's hard. I am tempted to have a little soup. I won't I won't. I don't want to go to the hospital and damage my new tummy. I've been taking lots of naps just so I don't think about food. Ever since I got home, I've been dreaming about eating chocolate and food.

When I started this journey, I brushed off everything and just focused on getting approved. I didn't realize how much we have to sacrifice and how hard it will be. I hope it gets better and easier .

It des get better!

It took me until day4 to really start being ableto get more fluids in and by day 5 post op I will able to accomplish it. Keep changng up your liquids...change broth flavors, proteing flavors etc. Keep your eye on the prize.

It feels like you wont eat food again forever but it seems to pass more quickly when you can start doing more and keep busy.

I am 2 weeks post op and can start mushy food tomorrow...soooo looking forward to it, but at this point I am also a little scared LOL

Hang in there....you are doing terrific!
