taste buds changing?

Every since my surgery i have noticed i no longer like some of the same foods i used to eat. Like chicken i could eat that every day. Now i cant stand the taste of it. But now tonight my husband made pork chops which i never eat. I tried one bite and liked it. Same with sugar free stuff. I used to hate it now i like it. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through a change like this

I noticed the same thing since getting the sleeve. Right after the surgery I could drink the clear Protein drinks without any problem but after a month I can't drink anything sweet without getting nauseated. I have started diluting all the Vitamin waters (which helps to get the daily Water requirement!) because they are too sweet also. I used to eat tapioca pudding before the surgery but since the surgery, I can't tolerate the taste. I haven't noticed any change in the taste of meat but I haven't eaten much variety yet, mainly chicken, turkey and ham. Beef is hard to digest for me so I don't try it too often.

For me I noticed two changes and one has disappeared and the other seems to have diminished. The first was Water. I used to enjoy plain water but after surgery I could not stand the taste. I had to add koolaid drops or crystal light to be able to drink it. Now I enjoy plain water again. The other was that some things seemed extremely sweet to me but now it does not seem as bad.

My mom had the surgery 14 years ago and she said her tastebuds changed DRASTICALLY. Going from loving milk to not going near it. Many many changes. Me.. If I see a burger I gag XD
