Is it safe for me to have protein shakes/slimfast shskes every morning for breakfast? I read that too much liquid can cause slippage?

Never heard that! Yes, I don't see any reason why not. Many of us "oldsters" have them. I have a Protein shake everyday. But, check with your own surgeon and see what he/she has to say! I make mine at home, using smoothie mix and bananas, or strawberries or both!

I've never heard protein shakes cause slippage...maybe you got it mixed up with, the band being too tight to only allow liquids to go down. I love Unjury chocolate protein powder in my soy milk...it's a very easy breakfast when I am on the go.

As far as shakes, I have a high Protein, home made smoothie every morning, made from fresh ingredients....at least 35 gm of protein....that's a lot off eggs!

I have one every morning to kick start my day and it's doc approved :)

I have one at least daily. If I'm really rushed, I might have 2.
