No Coughing!

I'm four days post op and I've been feeling a little cough coming on. So naturally I tried to cough (unconsciously), Holy moly my sleeve almost came up my esophagus (or so it felt).

Hang in there. I am confident that your surgeon did not make changes to your anatomy such that your parts are loose enough to "cough up". I had a good laugh at your description though.
