3 Weeks Post Op-Still In Pain...

I was banded 11/12. I have had pain radiating from my left side, mid back spine area (right under my bra line) through my rib cage almost since the beginning. Some days like today, it is in my upper incision site as well. Dr said it was because I was eating too fast(gas). So I slowed down. Then I thought it was dairy, so I stopped all dairy. Today all I have had to eat was 1/2 a banana and chicken and rice soup. It is an annoying sharp pain and am growing worried/frustrated. I'm loosing weight (21 lbs so far) but it's hard to eat when I'm in so much pain. Tylenol doesn't work for me and I know we can't take ibuprofen but I'm tempted! Want to check to see if anyone else is/has experienced the same thing? THX!

Awwwww. That sucks! I hope you find total relief soon.

I should ask... Why shouldn't "we" take ibuprofen?

Ibuprofen can lead to band erosion. I take it by the couple of responses what I'm experiencing isn't normal... NUTS!
