How Long Do The Spasms Last?

I'm one week post op and still having lots of spasms when I drink or eat cream soup or yogurt. How long does this last? Am I trying to drink too fast? What is your experience?

I am taking Levsin and Ativan for spasms. I was really just wondering when the spasms stop altogether.
