What does your pre-op diet consist of? I was on a lean and green diet for 2 weeks. The first 5 or 6 days seemed impossilbly difficult, but then it gets easier as you realize you are a week away from your life-altering decision. The adrenaline gets going and things get easier.

Good luck!

Did your Dr.put u on that diet or when u went for pre op?

Not sure if you are asking me, but yes, this was my surgeons pre-op diet.

Its 800-900 calories a day. I have to eat all of their products, nothing else.

My Dr. suggested a 2 week long liquid diet with occasional leafy greens. After 3 days I began fainting at work. I was hungry to the point of feeling unwell. And I was not losing weight. I began to eat a little more. Green vegetables, tomatoes, and broth-based soups. I've even had an ounce or two of lean cuts of beef. Guess what? By day 5 I began dropping the weight they wanted me to lose and I'm able to work my 12 hour shift without any lethargy. I know I'm not following my prescribed diet exactly as it was suggested, but I'm doing the best that I can.

I did not have any type of diet before I started my pre-op diet. My pre-op was all liquid, 3-4 protein shakes, clear fluids, sugar free jello, lots of water etc.
