Salads

Hi all. I was wondering about salads and lettuce. When did you all start eating salads? I love salad and miss it so much lol. I am only two weeks post op and wont be starting on solids for another 2-3 weeks but I was just curious. Would that count as a soft food?

    Once you're back on solid foods per your post op diet, you can have them.

i love salads too. but i waited until i was on solids. i can eat them now without any trouble.

I eat salad all the time, but like the others had to wait until solids. Nothing too bad just avoiding cheese in them and nuts are really good. Even chickpeas. You can do so much with a salad.

Hi there, I had my post-surgical follow-up meeting with the nutritionist today (I am 16 days post-op). She encouraged me to start eating salad before I get a fill -- just so my body is used to it. Went for a salad with a scoop of tuna on top directly after the appointment -- was so happy to chew, chew, chew those veggies! Brought half or so of it home for another meal.......
