My doctor ran labs a second time a week prior as a standard protocol. Good luck to you -- getting there! Congratulations on your date. I am ten days out and so happy with my new band.

Good luck to you to I can't wait its been a long road

Standard labs and a pregnancy test to ensure nothing popped up last minute (infection, anemia, pregnancy) etc that would put you at risk during surgery.

they check your blood count, rbc and wbc and clotting time etc. to make sure you are safe for surgery.
