safe to swallow pill capsules?

At what point is it safe to swallow a pill capsule in full without breaking it open? I am 13 months out and have a sinus infection. I was given amoxicillin capsules to treat it. Think it's OK to take the whole thing?

  • think about how small that capsule is compared to what you are eating now at 13 months out of surgery...right?

How about gummy vitamins? I was told by my support group that their surgeon recommended Omega 3 along with biotin vitamins to helps with the hair loss. The omega 3 comes in big capsules and gummy form.

I was also told no to the gummy vitamins- only chewable were ok for that. Something about our tiny tummy's not being able to break down the gummy material as well?
