Just got approved today by my insurance. Now I am super scared. Please tell me in your opinion that I am doing the right thing or not.

Deciding to move forward with surgery is a personal decision. Surgery might not be for everyone. Ask questions, gather all your information - the good and the bad -, know the risks and the rewards and be confident in whatever you choose. Take your time deciding. You got over a big hurdle, approval.

For me, it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am thankful every day to have this tool to aid me on my journey to a healthier me.

You'll be fine...I was freaking out too all the way until I saw my surgeons smiling face. Then I was all geared up and ready to go. I was out for like 45 minutes and up in my room in 2hrs. Staring at my husband and family as they asked me a gazillion times if I was alright. Lol. Of course I was and you will be too. see ya on the post op side of this journey ! Mine was 10/10/13 if you're wondering. I'm about 12 days post op.

6 months post op and down 103 lbs. enough said
