The Video

Today I finally watched the video my surgeon office told me I have to watch and now I am feeling freaked out. I know with every surgery there is a risk, but now I am feeling really nervous. At first I was so excited especially reading and seeing all the success on this site, but for the first time since I decided to have this surgery I am nervous. :( Talk about a Debbie Downer video!

What about the video made you freak out?

The risks and surgery in general. The last surgery I had it was not a good one and my recovery took months. Even waking up from the anesthesia was difficult for me so hearing all the risks made me nervous. Not that I didn't hear it before, but I guess since my surgery date is growing closer my nerves are kicking it. The video took some of the excitement I had.

BREATHE!!!

I was TERRIFIED before surgery. But I did it anyway. Those videos are designed to scare the ever-living-crap out of you. There are risks, yes - but they really are minimal and don't happen very often. And, the benefits SO outweigh the risks. And, honestly, what is riskier - NOT having this surgery, or remaining at your current weight?

THANK YOU SO MUCH! You are 200% right! They are really designed to freak you out and it worked on me. Kind of took all the joy I had anticipating my surgery and the new me.

Being on this site really helps and encourages me to stay on track.

THANK YOU AGAIN! :)
