Very inspiring to read everyone's experience

Fairly new to this site.

Can I ask how is your hair holding up?

I'm waiting on my surgery date and more afraid of hair loss than surgery.

I'm currently seeing Endricologist for possible for thyroid condition My hair is thinning lots, have to clean my hair brush out daily and I haven't even started my pre-op diet.

Many people lose hAir but when my weight was in the life and death ballpark hairloss wasn't that important.

Excuse my language' date=' but hell no! No complications, lost a great deal since March, but eating/drinking like this for the rest of my life - just isn't me, but now it has to be sadly, so..hell no, I wouldn't do it, again.[/quote']

Is it that bad? Do you just miss being able to eat whatever you want? Would you trade that for the weight you've lost and the years you've added to your life?

In a heart beat yes!!!! Just list 101lbs as of this am. Don't think I could have done it without this tool. And I really can eat what I want just not as much!

Absolutely no regrets!

Thanks for sharing! I appreciate everyones honesty. :)

Not only would I do it again, I would do it every year for the rest of my life if I had to.

Recovery from surgery was not bad, just some abdominal pain and fatigue. I've not had any nausea or vomiting or even constipation. I've lost a good amount of weight (I'm four months out) and have discovered that someone who loves to exercise and strength train was buried inside me. I'm not spending every evening gorging on cookies and chips and then hating myself for it. My life is getting more and more normal all the time and as a result I'm feeling much more positive and confident. As far as I am concerned, for me there has been no bad or ugly. I love my sleeve. :D

Absolutely. Only wish the sleeve had been around in 2006 when I had the band. This is so much better. I am so happy!!!

Sent from my DROID RAZR using VST

YES!!! Love the way I look but even more appreciate all the things I can do!

I am so freaking happy! I would absolutely do this again and again and again and again.

I was a snug size 20 five months ago. Two days ago I went out and bought size 12 pants. I can run, I can jump, I can do cartwheels again. I can keep up with ANYONE I want to and still feel great the next day. I look amazing, I feel amazing and I have found MYSELF again.

I don't care if I never eat another "normal" meal again. Hell, I had enough food for my lifetime in my first 42 years, I don't need any more for my next 42. I know that I most likely will and quite frankly, I am afraid of that.

Without a doubt yes. Totally worth it.

I'm 44 and noticed that my hair started shedding a bit two years ago... so I started taking Biotin and multivitamins. Just had my surgery yesterday and my room mate who's female & a bit older than me and female- she was part of a study & swears by Rogaine (yes for men) which is over the counter and available at Target. Smaller light brown bottle with an eyedropper. Will have to ask my doctor about this! I've also heard that fish oil helps.

As far as the would I do it again part... Surgery itself was pretty easy and not nearly as painful as my past surgeries... Excited for what the future brings!!!!
