To my smokers when did you continue back smoking after surgery?

  • yes my Dr. asked me if I smoked.. he won't do the surgery if you smoke... too much risk... Like I tell my husband who is a smoker.. what is the point of trying to get healthy if you are going to ruin

  • I am really just repeating what others have said. You have stopped for however long, why go back? With all the damage we know smoking does, please stop. Good luck!

Talk to your doctor about when it's safe because smoking not only inhibits the healing process but it also increases your risk for post surgical pneumonia and blood clots.

yes my Dr. asked me if I smoked.. he won't do the surgery if you smoke... too much risk... Like I tell my husband who is a smoker.. what is the point of trying to get healthy if you are going to ruin your health by smoking...? I used to smoke years ago and kept bronchitis and pneumonia... I hope you will find the strength to quit.. Get healthy and continue to live a good life....

I only had to stop smoking for 3 days before surgery. .. I had the urge im really a social smoker. I didnt smoke cause im a lil scared of the outcome
