Water intake question

Do you count thinks like coffee, tea, crystal light, etc towards your daily water intake or does it have to be just water??? I've really got to get more water in each day, but I wasn't sure if these counted too. Thanks in advance!

Coffee and tea, no because they're not water. Crystal light in water, yes.

I count my iced and hot teas as water. I don't drink coffee, so I can't answer if it counts as water if you add milk/cream etc. Ask your dietitian. Crystal Light is considered water.

Great, thank you!

Tea and coffee are both diuretics, so you will urinate more, that being said, I still count the water content in my food diary, but I mostly drink water and crystal light.

i count crystal light, and tea. My nit said count tea if you don't put milk in it

Wendy

I count tea toward my liquid intake.
