I am new here - plication surgery!

Hi everyone...I had plication done on 3/21, I'm down 8.5 lbs down one week out. The doctor warned me the weight loss would be slow so I'm fine with that; but, he said I wouldn't be hungry and I feel like I could eat a horse!!! I had a rough few days after surgery (hospital for 4 days) due to nausea and vomiting but now I am hungry. I am doing my protein shakes 3-4 times a day and I'm on the full liquid diet for 2 more weeks and then can start soft foods....any ideas on what I can have that will fill me up?!

I'm on the same boat as you, I had like done on the 26. I had some nausea but nothing major, and I go on soft foods on Friday.

But for me the hardest part since surgery has been the major hunger pains, there more like contractions. They are driving me insane and won't let me sleep!

It's been so bad that I end up breaking down in tears thinking what did I get myself into! I even feel like I wish I could literally put my hands in my tummy and undo this!

:/

Hopefully it gets better, and soon :*(

Hi Muñekita!

Wow, you got to start soft foods quick, lucky...I'm 2 weeks post op and still have one more week of liquids/cream Soups then soft foods for 2 weeks then I can start on solids slowly.

Hang in there, it'll get better ????

It didn't seem fast enough when I was on liquids hahaha

I started soft foods today, we will see how it goes. Can't wait till I get back to normal. :)

We will get trough it and look back and smile :)

Lol sorry I was asking M, just because I experienced what I thought were hunger pains when my prescribed Antiacids ran out.
