Steri-strips

Hi!! Anyone that had steri-strips instead of stitches or staples. How long did it take to fall off? I still have 4 of the 6. It's been 3 weeks and 1 day

It can take up to 6 weeks I believe for them to come off.

I peeled them off close to 2 weeks, they were gathering bunch of fabric from my clothes and it looked nasty. I watched edu video after the surgery and they said to peel them gently after 14 days, because they no longer serve the purpose after 2 weeks... I'm not a doctor though, maybe your strips are different :)

I peeled mine off after 2 1/2 wks cause they were coming loose on both edges and irritating me....

My doc said I'd be fine to peek them off as soon as they were all scabbed over (about 2 weeks!)

I had staples which they took out the day I went home, and used the strips. It was almost 3 weeks before they fell off. They left a rash and were really itchy....glad they are gone now.
