Had surgery today

The survey went well and it was over with in less than two hours! Now I feel so uncomfortable in the bed laying on my back! My back is killing me! I tried to lay on my side like I am used to, however that was also uncomfortable. I got up and walked once but it made me nauseous! I hope I feel better tomorrow. Hw: 299, preop weight: 246

  • Hang in there. It gets better! I wasn't able to sleep on my side for weeks. I'm impressed that you were even able to try do soon after surgery. I'm now 7 weeks out, and feeling pretty darn good!

If your back hurts ask the nurse for a bariatric air bed. My fiance delivers different kinds of beds daily to the local hospital. Most patients don't even know that they can request a different bed or even another mattress.
