Monthly cycles

I haven't seen anything on here about changes in people's monthly cycles since surgery. I haven't gotten mine since surgery and am about 2 weeks past due. Def not pregnant. Anybody else have changes or issues with this?

I had a hysterectomy, but after my heart surgery in 2000, I missed my period for three months. Doctor said my body was just stressed.

Oh no... Monthly cycles are my sore subject after WLS. I actually got my period the day I was discharged then it disappeared for almost 2 months. When it did come back .... Whew !!! It gave a new meaning to "monthly flow". My period is so so heavy now. My Dr has me taking an extra Iron pill during my cycle.

My Dr said the more weight loss you have the more your period will get heavy because when the fat is removed your hormones ate allowed to surface more and until your body learns to balance this new increase of hormones your cycles will hit HARD.

I am having issues with my period also. It is on and off almost daily but I did just have a "regular" period. It was definitely flowing. Every time I moved it seemed to gush. I went to the doctor and she said it is more than likely from stress on my body since my surgery. I guess I will live with it for now as long as I am losing weight!

It was horrible... :(
