Protein shakes..

Lately every time I drink one it feels like it just sits in my stomach like a rock. I so want to give them up but I know I can't. Do they do this to anyone else?

They do it to me now and I haven't even had surgery yet!!! I'm not sure how I will handle this after surgery! My NUT has approved me to use the Body By Vi shakes with 1/2 scoop of unflavored protien. I can stomach those better than some of the others.

And the Unjury unflavored can be added to anything (not boiling hot stuff), like yogurt, tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad, and any liquid. I put it in my decaf iced coffee a lot. It dissolves completely & has no flavor. Yesterday I mixed it in a little homemade guacamole.

This happened with me when I was using 8 oz of non fat milk to mix with it. It just felt way too heavy on my tummy.

I stared cutting it with Water. 4 oz of water and 4 oz of non fat milk and changed my Protein to BlueBonnet...its really smooth and mixes very well. No grit to the taste... But very pricey.

I always mix with milk for added protein. I can only drink so much though or I am way too full. Im so glad I can tolerate them and have never had a problem.
