I hate exercise! I started a water aerobics class. It doesn't feel like exercise.

I love to swim but I've never tried water aerobics. I wish I had a pool close by. I suppose I could and swim in the ocean.

I just finished my two mile walk!!!! I'm sweating buckets. More then I used to, even before surgery. I'm so out of shape. But I'm going to do my weights tonight. I learned my lesson that I probably need to eat breakfast or at least drink some water beforehand. Ugh!!!

Debating if I wanna tackle Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred again or just make sure I walk every day. The overtime at work has been insane and the gym has become an impossibility. Somehow I've gained 2.5 lbs and I'm really discouraged and frustrated. I hope I'm just bloated or something because I haven't had enough water the past few days. Ugh.

I am so jealous that you are near the ocean!

Please drink water before, during and after. After our issues with my son last week, I can't say it enough.

Excited to finally come home from the hospital today after 8 days. I had to have a picc line put in and 5 days of tpn, lots of potassium, and magnesium. Make sure if you guys know something is wrong to seek help from your doctor. I'm going home on 4 nausea meds, and am finally able to move to full liquids and I'm 7 weeks post op today.

Congratulations on surgery & I hope all is going well for you. I had surgery on 7/22 I came home 7/23 I now have only taken pain meds one time which was 26hrs after surgery &I feel much better today just a lol sore around neck from (breathing tube ) which is normal. I've been using ice (flexible) to put across the stomach area ,I'm surprised how well ice keeps pain level down although I must say I bought 6 ice packs so always have a cold /frozen pack even while sleeping works wonders.

Wow!! You look incredible!!!

Thank you.

Yayyyy, good for you, I hope you continue to progress without any more complications.

Has anyone else from June not had their first post-op doctor appointment? Surgery was 6/18. My doctor switched surgical groups a week later, so I had to switch if I wanted to stay with her. Getting records transferred and infection complications caused this delay. I did see my doctor briefly during one of my two additional hospitalizations, but I never even met the nutritionalists at the new center. I'm trying to follow the plan I got from my original center, but it makes me nervous. My appointment with them isn't until 8/2.

I'm mostly nervous about a hematoma by my belly button. It's gotten smaller and the bruising is gone, but it's still there. While hospitalized, the doctors didn't seem concerned. They said it didn't show signs of infection on the CT scans and would go away on its own. I did have an infection elsewhere and have been on antibiotics. Anyone else have a lingering hematoma for 5+ weeks?
