God's Design

Hello Everyone. I'm about to have my surgery on March 1, 2007. But I'm very nervous and excited about it. I'm ready to loose this weight because I know that if I go too much longer I'll end up with a disease that will cause me to take medication until I die. So basically it's time to do what I know is right. I've viewed some of the awesome before and after pictures and it makes me want to clap my hands for all of you who have accomplished your goals. Currently I weigh 270 and I'm 5'6, my goal weight is 140 to 150. Tomorrow I begin my liquid diet, so can you tell I'm really excited (no more Krispy Kreme, no more McDonalds, and no more Papa Johns), oh well, at least I will be around to see my children live there lives. Just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know what a awesome job they are doing in meeting their goals.

Dear Dec,

Looks wasn't what got me banded either.

I was VERY worried about a stroke or worse.

You are making a very good decision. I do miss the volume of food but the variety at six months is wonderful.

The liquid part of this journey is VERY HARD.

My family said they were so impressed with that part. I was JUST doing what my doctors instructions.

So wear this part as badge of honor .

Thanks ya for the encouragement. What did ya do for energy? Every since I started this diet I've been so fatigued and can't do anything, all I want to do is sleep. How bad is the pain after the surgery? Any advice on protein shakes that taste good?

Hi Dec-Welcome to LBT! Congrats on your date for your band! It will be here before you know it. It is normal to be both excited and nervous at the same time. I was just banded 15 days ago and am feeling good. Best of luck to you-Gigi:)
