Post surgery weight gain

I should know this, but can't remember. I had an open hernia repair last Wednesday. The day before surgery I weighed 201. Today I weighed 210. There is NO WAY I could have gained. I'm eating a lot less post surgery. Grant it, I'm not moving much, but this is depressing. This was my second open surgery since February 5 of this year. This is beginning to take a mental and physical toll on this old gal.

Hey girl. I had an ablasion done in January and gained 9 lbs in the hospital. Its the iv fluid. Dont panic... I know easier said then done... It takes about 5 days to work its way thru. Just keep staying the course. Hope you are feeling well since surgery.

It's common to gain after surgery. Don't panic - it's fluids from iv etc. I gained about 6 to 8 pounds when I went home.
