I think every doc is different. Mine said ginger ale was ok and was given it post op in the hospital. He said that carbonation stretching your pouch is a myth and most docs tell you to stay away from

Thanks! I was thinking about trying one of the walmart brand waters its just carbonated water and I have always liked them.

Ok so my doctor says no carbonated drinks! He said if you pop a "pepsi your looking for a pringle" haha. Well I no a couple of people that had the surgery and they are allowed carbonated drinks? I am dying to have one but I just just afraid??? Any advice? Did your doctor allow carbonated drinks?
