Today I hit a milestone. As some of you know, my mom is on a kidney transplant list, has been for over 2 years. She is an extremely tough match and no one in the family matches, but I am, by far, th

So... I have to go to a wedding reception tonight and I'm still on soft foods. My dilemma is that nobody at the wedding reception knows I had the surgery except my husband and step-children. All the people there are my husbands ex-wife's family.. I know sounds strange. Haha... I just don't want anyone asking me why I'm not eating and drinking so I'm thinking of putting food on my plate and just moving it around.. Suggestions????

Hi yes move food around. You can try some of the food just chew it a lot. But don't over think it go have a great time. Dance and enjoy the new you!!!

And now I'm waiting on an enema....this is insane' date=' this is the third time he's worked on my gut and has never been this obsessed with my butt. God save me.[/quote']

Lol ha ha. I know this must not be fun at all to go through but I so needed the laugh:). Poor you!

Hit onderland but really..... I DON'T CARE! I just want to be able to eat what i am suppose to be able to in peace consistently!! So MISERABLE..... Now I need to work out to tone and tighten...... But have no energy since I don't get enough nutrition. :-( I am so tired. I don't know what to do anymore.

Had two staples taken out and a biopsy done the other day. Thyroid is now out of control and I need to see about that this week.... It's NEVER FREAKING ENDING.... When will I be normal or when will this just be normal. Husband always complaining too..... I am just so pissed lately

Take heart... it's counterintuitive, but the littlest bit of exercise (walking around the block) will give you more energy than you had the day before. If you do this a few days in a row, you may be inclined to walk around the block twice the next day, and so forth.

As for your thyroid, that can DEFINITELY have an impact on your energy level. I was hyperthyroid (metabolism going great guns) the year before my surgery, and I couldn't get off the couch. Again, doesn't make sense, but there you have it.

Baby steps is what I recommend. We all need exercise as a part of losing weight and keeping it off.

Definitely put food on your plate. Then you could say you just aren't that hungry, or you feel like you may be coming down with something and have lost your appetite, or you're just getting over something and don't have any appetite...

I'm thinking I might try salad today. I'm feeling adventurous.

My first real race in 18 months: a little 2-mile run in which half the participants were elementary school children. I finished last, (half walking half running) with an average pace of 18 minutes, but it's still faster than sitting on the couch.

Omg so am I .. Last night my husband made a lovely salad and all I wanted to do was stick my fork I the bowl! Even my canary got salad and fruit last night!!!!

OMG you poor people, when do you get to add rabbit food backin????

Is there anyone in a size 2X who is interested in a pair of plain black, just-above-the-knee compression shorts for running in? I will mail them to you. They are super comfortable and make running so much more, well, comfortable. Even if you're just starting a couch-to-5K program, you'll appreciate them!

I move to the 3month life style diet in about 2 1/2 weeks... I pretty sure the introduce salad then.

Awwww :)

I'm 10 weeks post op and just starting adding fruits this week (1/2c a day even though I'm not eating that much). This is basically the first real carbs I've had since surgery. I think I'm feeling "hungry" for the first time since surgery. Could the carbs from the fruit be making me hungry? If so I'm don't with fruit. I don't want that hunger to come back.

Hmmm not sure.. I just started melon and it tasted very good and I felt like I could just keep eating it by stopped. Maybe make notes when you start to feel hungry after eating fruit.
