Sore after surgery?

How sore were you after surgery? My husband has the first two days of my surgery off from work, but then I'll be alone at the house until my daughter gets home from school. I'm worried about being too sore to go up and down the stairs in our house. Also worried about being able to get off the couch if I end up being stuck down stairs. Any insight is most appreciative.

I was sore for about a week that I took pain meds for. Each day eases up some

First week was hard for me..im three weeks out and still have some discomfort but making lots of progress. .I too have stairs at home .so I went up the stairs sideways..that help..just take your time..don't rush yourself into trying yo fo too much too fast

*to do...oops

I was fine with stairs and I lived in my lazy boy. Hubby was home for the first two days and I was ok after that. Good luck. :-)

Thanks everyone! I'm getting so excited, and anxious at the same time. :)
