Sometimes I worry I'm not doing good...

I get paranoid. Real paranoid that I'm having TOO much Protein being only 11 days post-op. I am able to get in 65 grams of protein daily through the use of two 8oz Protein shakes, which literally take me the entire day and night to consume. I usually end up with close to or a little under 400 cals a day. My family is not reassuring and keeps saying "are you having too much?" I take the two 8oz protein shakes and split them into Two 4 oz servings per sitting.

I guess my biggest fear is getting in this much protein this early out and possibly stretching my brand new pouch with the liquid. It really boggles my mind. I just hope I'm not overdoing it. I get really REALLY full, but keep sipping b/c I know how important protein is =\

Stop eating/drinking when you are full! I am 5 weeks out today and still can't get in more than 40oz of water and I'm just starting to get to about 70g protein. I know more protein & water may help you lose faster, but listen to your body, that's the most important. If you're feeling full or uncomfortable, stop. The weight will come off, especially at only 11 days. You'll be fine if you don't get the full amount in, your body needs time to heal, it all comes with time :)

65 ounces is great!!! I was and still am required 75-80 grams of protein a day since coming home from surgery 3 months ago. You are not going to stretch your pouch!!! Hopefully you can keep doing a good job with the protein because you will have to get more daily soon
