March Surgery Dates

I've seen topics where members having surgery in the same month have kinda banded together to offer support and encouragement to one another. I think this is a wonderful idea, and I'd like to see if there's anyone having surgery in March that would like to support one another.

I have a tentative date for the second or third week in March. I have UHC through Georgia Pacific and they use BRS for approvals. I don't expect any delays, nor does my surgeon's office, so she saved me a spot, so to speak, lol.

Tonight I have my psyc eval, and Monday is my information class, I have two more visits, 2/5 and 3/5 of my six month supervised diet, and on March 5th when I leave my PCP's office, I'll take my worksheet to the surgeon and we'll submit to insurance. That's where I'm at!

I'd love to talk with others that are looking at the same time frame as me!! :D

Not sure if you can have this or not but chicken broth is the best tasting thing EVER when on the liquid diet lol

I've been living on chicken and beef broth, jello, juice and Popsicles.

Hope your throat start starts to feel better :) I am 5 days post op. I also have not had any hungry feeling yet either.

Thanks. Throat is still sore but slowly getting better.

I still have pain I'm left side and throat. Haven't gotten any rest yet. Still on ice chips.

Hope everyone else is well.

I had my surgery on March 14th. So far everything is great. I ended up having an allergic reaction to the bandages. I got welts with blisters around the edges of my bandaids. To be honest, the welts hurt more than than the staples. I walk all of the time. I can even climb my stairs. I'm so excited to start the healthy new me. Good luck to all of the March Peeps.

How much have you lost so far?

I had mine the 12th and can barely see the incision, but you can sure see where the tape was. I have no idea why I bothered telling them I was allergic to that adhesive if they just use it anyways. Glad you're doing so well. I've been walking like crazy. Did you gain any weight from the IV fluids after surgery?
