March Surgery Dates

I've seen topics where members having surgery in the same month have kinda banded together to offer support and encouragement to one another. I think this is a wonderful idea, and I'd like to see if there's anyone having surgery in March that would like to support one another.

I have a tentative date for the second or third week in March. I have UHC through Georgia Pacific and they use BRS for approvals. I don't expect any delays, nor does my surgeon's office, so she saved me a spot, so to speak, lol.

Tonight I have my psyc eval, and Monday is my information class, I have two more visits, 2/5 and 3/5 of my six month supervised diet, and on March 5th when I leave my PCP's office, I'll take my worksheet to the surgeon and we'll submit to insurance. That's where I'm at!

I'd love to talk with others that are looking at the same time frame as me!! :D

Can you please add me to the list? March 14 :) can't wait! Nervous! Start a two week diet on march 1. The two week diet is for a study being conducted to see the amount of fat loss from the stomach area within the two weeks. To utilize the data for colon cancer operations. Just have to stay under 1000 calories for 14 days. :)

EGD Results came back and I'm good!! OMG it's really gonna happen! U guys were right I was out like a light and didn't even feel it lol hoping to book my surgery tomorrow and soon as I know I will post!! God bless!

I feel bad. I haven't had to do any of the hoops that all of you have had to do to get your insurances to approve your surgery. I have not had to loose any weight, I was told not too. I've had no phyc eval, no limits on food intake.

Get a soda stream is soda but with very little carbonation or none depending how much you put in it.

I am worried about this too. I am a chugger and have not been able to stop. I know I will not be able to after but what if I forget!

Hahah I "quoted" the wrong "quote" LOL.

I have been reading a ton about the EGD's that everyone seems to be having done. I am not required to do this and am a bit worried about it. Can someone explain why this is important? Thank you so much!

I bought the lemon ice tea of the nectar.... I have to check it out. But vitamin shoppe manager said he heard only good things from other WLS patients

That would make me very happy! Gonna try it!!!!!!!

Me too! Heather76 (3/18 ) ;)

Please add me to the March list! My patient advocate said it should be in March! Sounds like we will all have a lot of support here.

I was suppose to have my surgery this Monday.

Well I have a horrible sinus infection and strep throat UGH! So my surgery for Monday was canceled.

Now I have to wait to get it rescheduled again and because of work it won't e until layer on in March now.

I'm getting laid off in 2 weeks so I have to wait until after that to do my surgery. I had already done 1 week of a 2 week liquid diet so in a couple weeks I will have to start all over again.

I almost thought this was a sign and I told the dr that I no longer wanted the surgery. Then I realized how badly I wanted my life back so I decided I have it again. I think I was just an emotional wreck from not eating, getting sick and nervous about the surgery.

Stay strong everyone and good luck to you all. I'm glad to see the post ops are doing well and I will update you guys on my new surgery date when I get.

That 2 week liquid diet is no joke.

New to this forum but I have been going through this process since october and now I have a date set for march 14, Iam so happy that I am doing this and I am reclaiming my life back. *_*
