My first weigh is a week from today...im seven days post op and feel a little bloated. Im on full liquids and have noticed my tummy looks same as I did on day of surgery. What can I expect at my first weigh in?? Will doctor run any tests?? Also I've read some doctors perform xray to check there are no leaks...my doctor never ordered that in fact I only was in hospital one night :/

Xrays should be done before leaving the hospital. That's how my complication (which is common) was found! Hopefully they give you an xray at some point...this surgery is a serious one! I also have my first post-op appt tomorrow. Good luck!

My surgery date was 1-02-13 and as of 01-01-13 the hospital I used here in Michigan converted to new "modern methods" following post op and did-away with the X-ray/barium swallow tests. I am currently three weeks and have not had any X-rays either.

I had to have the leak test before they would discharge me.
