Scheduled my cardiology clearance today!! It's 1/31/13. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Will it just be an EKG? Thanks!

I think you will be fine! I have high blood pressure and have been seeing a cardiologist for 4 years so it was easy for me. I discuss everything with him, I trust him and his opinion. NO WORRIES

Mine was an EKG, an ECHO, a pulmonary function test, a pneumonia shot, and a blood gas test. But it probably depends on the doctor.

I just had an EKG done and a pulmonary function test, that was it. It was easy did a whole 3 hours of other testing though, I think the worse was the upper GI series. Our surgery dates are 2 days from each other, we should try to keep tabs on each other :0)

No, not weird. It depends on your medical history, and it also depends on your doctor. Some require it.

Not weird! Like pbear said, some docs just have certain requirements, and others base it on your history... it think my surgeon just wants to be safe.
