Almost 8 weeks out and down 48 pounds

So it's been 8 weeks since my official surgery date but I still have another 4 days to go from my official weight in date at home so that's the date I am going with as my start date, LOL. Hopefully I can get 2 more pounds off in these next 4 days and I can hit the 50 pounds lost mark at 8 weeks. I am so happy. Especially with these last 2 weeks. My weight loss has been really consistant and it has made me feel more confident in my decision to have this surgery. The first month and a half I still wasn't sure if I made the right decission thinking I was gonna be the one who didn't lose weight, like everyone else thinks, but now that the weight is starting to come off quicker it gives me hope that with time and dedication it WILL all come off. Thank you to everyone on here who has helped me with all my questions and who have been so supportive. I appreciate everyone of you and will need you to lean on again I am sure. :) I haven't taken another picture but I will soon and I will post it. :P

Hmmmm I don't know if I can handle that graininess in my soup. I tried o add protein powder to my soup once and it was gross. And it was suppost to be flavorless. FYI, it's not. Hahah

me too but this isn't grainy at all. It blended just perfect. the trick is not to put it in steaming hot food. so my soup wasn't hot hot. it really is good.

yeah my unflavored taste like fleishmans yeast smells!! lol

Head over to Nashua Nutrition's website if you want to try different brands without buying a tub. They sell samples for $1.95 each for lots of brands. Working my way thru the ones I ordered. No clear winner yet...lol. I have found Chike protein powder & that is my fav so far. Unjury did not agree with me but will try again to be sure. What works one day may not work the next.

Did you do anything different or eat a particular way the last few wks? Im 5wks out...

I started drinking a Protein shake in the morning that is 30g each so I think it's because I am getting in all my protein cause it's easier to get 30g out of food then it is 60g. Sometimes I will have another shake for dinner if I am not up to cooking. That's all that I really did different I think. How are you doing?

I had a bad experience ... I went through a lot... I had an obstruction, had to get another surgery 4 days apart, then I got pneumonia, then had to have fluid drained from my lung... I was in hospital 3wks... I've been out 2 wks... really sucked but im doing better... im even still swollen or at least my tummy feels bloated & still real sore... I've lost 21lbs so far... Dr Apr tomorrow .... I know im not getting in enough protein ... when i tried to drink a shake I threw it up... do you drink pre made shakes or do you make your own?

wow that is crazy. I am so glad you are doing beter. I would of been so scared. What a trooper you are. I hope nothing else bad happens to you. You have dealt with enough :)

I have been drinking the pre-made shakes. I think not having to mix them helps with the mental part of the shakes cause I just hate them. Especially with Water. I am going to try this coffee kind called Click that I heard is good and also nectar brand. I am gonig to email them and see if I can get a sample pack.

Awesome job!
