Surgery Date Set

I've got a surgery date of 12/28/12. I need to lose 15 lbs. any good ideas to get this weight off quickly? Also, it was suggested to replace at least 1 meal a day with a protein drink. Any suggestions or preference?

Has your doctor given you any direction on how to accomplish this?

That would be a good way to start. Also eliminate as many carbs as you can because after surgery you will want to save all ro available for protein

My dietician said do a modified diet. maybe start with Protein shake for breakfast. lunch salad with a protein on it. And healthy dinner. Chix fish meat with side salad veggies. I did have whole grain rice at dinner. The small microwave ones. Water water water. I also had a Greek yogurt in between breakfast and lunch. And cut up green peppers in between lunch and dinner.

Then week before surgery I would do shake for breakfast and lunch and same dinner above unless they stick you on a liquid diet prior to surgery. if you can get some exercise in there too, that helps. I have 15 to lose prior to surgery too.

My dr is more restrictive. I can have 4-5 protein drinks from a limited list of brands, SF jello, clear broth and water. I have to do this 2 weeks before and I'm on day 2 and feel like I could chew a shoe!!!
