January Dates

  • Popular Post

I am starting this so all of us who are beginning 2013 in a big way can share stories, advice and experiences.

My surgery date is 1/21/13 and this has been a year long journey for me. I began last December with a physical and my Dr. and I decided it was time. I had to go through 6 months of weigh-ins and visits with the nutritionist before I was even allowed to see the surgeon. I finally met him in July and then was given a whole new list of tests and appointments that needed to be done. My insurance finally approved me earlier this month, but only for surgery after January 1, so January 21st it is.

I am so excited to start this journey and thank you all in advance for sharing your experiences here!

OMG! Thank you for making me laugh. I had the same thoughts at work today. ;)

I know, very uncouth to share that info with you but the only time I get to check the boards here is when I'm on a potty break and that one happened to have wicked funny timing :/ glad I could brighten our day!

Ok, I made it and am now officially on the post-op side!!!!! Surgery went great and I have pretty much slept the day away. Pain is tolerable for the most part and when it gets a little pit of hand, I just ask for more pain mess. Hoping to get up and walk soon, I am getting sick of sitting in this bed. I will post more tomorrow when I am not so out of it from the pain meds. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, I could not have done this without you all!!!!!

I'm just the same. Out of surgery and slept the day away. I've walked 2 times and gone pretty far. I'm just really sore now buy not in crazy pain. I've not had any pain meds for about three and 1/2 hours but I'm going to get some. I've not really had too much gas pain just really bad nausea. We will see what tomorrow holds. So glad you are doing good. Can't wait to hear from you tomorrow. .

I definitely see a difference. Your face is more defined and I can see inches lost everywhere. Great job, I am inspired for my surgery 2/14. Thanks for sharing.

Good Luck to all those having surgery today. Just got done working the night shift. I have one more to go and then tomorrow afternoon I leave for my surgery that is on Thursday. I can't believe it is almost here-wow has time flown by. The hospital is 2 1/2 hours away from me so I have decided to stay in a hotel the night before as ND/MN weather is so unpredictable and I am sure I will have to be at the hospital early. A nurse will call me tomorrow afternoon to give me more details about when I have to be there and what time surgery is scheduled for. Have a great day..
