I Can't Wait Till....

  • Popular Post

Im starting a thread on things you cant wait to do/accomplish after surgery..

I can't wait...

  • for that moment where I don't have to use a beach towel after a shower!
  • till I can ride my bike with my daughter without my tire going flat the moment I hop on the bike!
  • to give my daughters a bath with out running out of breath!
  • till I can take my boyfriend out on a date to his favorite place Six Flags without being in fear that the security lock on the roller coaster wont fit me or I wont fit in the seat period!
  • till I can play hide n seek with my daughter and be able to run without feeling like I'm about to collapse!
  • till food is no longer something I seek for comfort yet only for necesity because my body needs nutrients not because my emotions need to be fed!

  • I am less than 3 weeks post-op but i have lots of things i'm looking forward to: -being able to buy/wear boots that'll fit over my calves -flying and not having to get a seatbelt extender -hike wit

  • As fun as this topic is, I was kind of scared of it at first, but seeing as surgery is tomorrow... here I go! I can't wait to... Stop pretending I'm afraid or don't like things bc I don't feel comf

Run & Play with grandbabies til I wear them out!!

To not having daily pain and discomfort!!

To finally be healthy and vibrant again!!

I want my outside and inside to match. I am an outgoing, happy go lucky person and I want my confidence back. I want my hell raiser back, I want me back. I don't know who this fat, anxiety ridden woman is but I don't like her. I want to be able to go do stuff without having to pre-plan everything and make sure its fat girl friendly.

Oh and I want to fit in a seat belt in my mother in laws car because her stupid Buick seems to think that if you're bigger than roughly a size 20, then you should stay home or take your chances being thrown around in an accident.

I can't wait until my surgery!!!!! (February 28th)

I can't wait until my surgery!!!!! (February 28th)

I've read this thread a lot so here. Is my wish list:

- sit on the floor with my daughter and play instead of her saying' date=' daddy and I will play on the floor you sit on the bed mommy.

- ride on a roller coaster with my daughter. 2 amusement parks and never a ride with her.

- wear jeans (haven't worn jeans in almost 3 years)

- care about myself and how I look. I always wear sweats and slippers bc I'm so fat I just don't care.

- run a mile

- do a marathon

- teach my daughter proper eatin habits.

- shop in a normal store!!

- share clothes with someone, anyone!

Not to mention everything everyone else said too!![/quote']

Ok. Thought I would see what I have accomplished so far. I am 6.5 weeks post op. down 30lbs since surgery (more now) 67lbs total since I started process in October.

I now sit on the floor and play and lie on the floor and color. I still choose the couch or bed... Because my floor is tile. But on carpet I choose the floor because I can!!

No amusement park rides yet, but we went to the zoo and I walked! I didn't get or need a wheel chair.

I own jeans now!!!

And I share clothes with other ppl in my support group. I can share some of my husbands shirts!!!

No mile run, but I walk 3 miles and run for a minute or 2!

Marathon, I'm looking into my first 5k in a month or so.

Teaching proper eating, not yet. I seem to e feedin her more crap since I barely eat or cook. Working on it!

I can shop at Walmart and target now. Which to me is a normal store!! I also buy clothes at goodwil now which I never could before.

As for caring how I look. I am realizing its a hard process. I still choose huge baggy clothes and slippers over anything else. But I like to wear a bra now bc it doesn't hurt. And I think about what I choose to wear an I actually can wear nice clothes when I want too!

I have accomplished a lot on this list. Makes me feel awesome.

I can't wait to be able to walk the mall without my back hurting

Cross my legs

Shop out of a regular store

Play with my 6 year old at the play ground

Wear cute lil summer dresses.

Wear high heels again

Look cute in a bathing suit

I can't wait to wear clothes I like.

I can't wait to be back to a size 7\8 or at least a 9/10.

I can't wait to find going shopping (for clothing) enjoyable again.

I can't wait until I can look into the mirror and like the way I look again.

I can't wait to feel lighter, more flexible and have more stamina.

I can't wait to be able to travel more With my daughter.

I can't wait to be complimented on my new body.

I can't wait for long walks again and exercise!

I can't wait to feel confident in a bathing suit.

I can't wait to feel healthier.

I can't wait to not live my life worrying if I will die young as a result of obesity or being overweight.

I can't wait to teach my daughter and set the example for my new healthy lifestyle.
