  1. I just had a brachioplasty done on my arms and I'm wondering if anyone can suggest compression garments they have used
  2. I'm 20 days out from having a full abdominoplasty and brachioplasty done. I'm super nervous and my anxiety is through the roof. For those of you who have gone through this, do you have any tips that you wish you knew prior to having plastic surgery done?

    Final Phase

That's really relieving to hear about the pain. See I'm going to be having lipo on the upper section of my abdomen and then removing the lower portion. Just curious, how much weight did they remove in the procedure? I've heard it can range from 5-12 lbs. it's hard for me to imagine what it's going to turn out like because there's just so much skin haha. I just can't imagine me feeling/looking like a normal person.

    Final Phase

I'm not worried much about the scars because what I've read they aren't very big or can't be seen. As for the placement I'm not sure I have my pre-op appt on 11/3 and I'm nervous as hell. One, because this is costing me an arm and a leg; two, I'm constantly worrying about the pain; three I don't know what I'm going to look like afterwards. The gastric bypass was painful because they disturb the abdominal muscles (and I can't believe I'm willingly wanting that pain again). I just want it to be everything I hope it to be. Was the pain manageable? And I have heard about compression garments. What brand did you get?

Would You Get A Rny Tattoo?

I am having plastic surgery in November and I'm considering that to be my "final phase" of my journey... Once I am healed of that I was thinking about having my heaviest weight tattooed on my ribs or something so that I never forget how far I have come... Idk. But I've thought about it as well.

I had my surgery in February 2014 and I've lost over 125 lbs... I'm going to see a plastic surgeon on July 30th. Kinda nervous to hear what he has to say and I'm hoping what I want done won't cost too much.
  7. Ok thanks for the info... I must say that they have been tough. Even though this is a sucky excuse this winter has been rough and I haven't been exercising like I should have been but I'm getting back in the swing of things. Good luck with the dr Appt!
  8. I love reading your guys stories. I still have about 30 pounds to go until I hit my goal and then I want to get plastic surgery toward the end of this year. How long were any of you off from work. Luckily I'm behind a desk in my job and don't have to worry too much about lifting, but having an idea would be helpful.
  9. What doctor did everyone have document skin issues and stuff like that for insurance purposes? PCP, PS, Gastric Bypass surgeon?
  10. I would think possibly 6 weeks?
  11. Ok. I'm just starting to think about calling around to schedule a consult and the pricing live freaks me out a bit haha. My ideal situation is to have my stomach and arms done at the same time. I'm not sure if they do that type of thing...

Has anyone in this thread had cosmetic surgery for their stomach in the Pgh area?! If you have, how much did it cost you? If your insurance paid how much did they pay?
  13. I have a budget of $10k to have something done with my stomach. Do any of you feel I could have a Penni done for that much?

    Heavy Bag Question...

Alright...so...my dirty pleasure the last few months has been watching the last season of The Ultimate Fighter. I'm not sure why but it has... I would like to get myself a heavy bag for home so I can do some workouts. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't need to get the best out there, but I would like a decent bag. Also, does anyone have any good suggestions on DVDs for that type of workout?

    December Fitness Challenge

I'm going to go to the gym 5 days a week. I'm also going to do the planking challenge.
  19. I'm in! Never done a plank before so this should be interesting!! :)
  20. So as of Feb 2014 it will be my 1 yr anniversary of my gastric bypass... I do have the skin folds on my stomach area but idt they will meet what is needed for the instance company to pay for a tummy tuck... I was wondering what is the soonest anyone has had plastic surgery after their bypass with no insurance approval. If I was getting it covered by my insurance I would have to wait 18 months, but I don't see that happening. Should I still wait the 18 months. I have about 40 more pounds to lose and I want to lose it before my year anniversary...
