Crazy.. But Please Help!

My doctor prescribed a daily stool softer. I am 3 days post op and when I filled my prescription it was 4 huge bottles. I believe its called coflex!? Anyway.. I have to drink 30ml (or 1 full ounce) 2x a day!! Way tooo much! And it tastes horrible! Tastes like black licorice. It about made me sick today. I haven't felt sick like that since surgery.

I am going to call my Dr tomorrow, but wondered what you all are taking?

Thanks!

Jill

Sounds awful! :( I'm taking Senna and have been since surgery :8wks post op). I suggest getting some and crushing them up with some yogurt...tastes a little weird but much better then that yucky stuff your currently taking. Good luck and welcome to the other side:)

Thank you! I was hoping someone has a pill. I don't mind crushing it or whatever . But the awful tasting liquid meds are overwhelming! Yucko!

I take a capful of miralax powder mixed in 4 ounces of crystal light. It us tasteless. I've been taking it since 6 weeks post op. I'm 3 months out now. I also had tried the stool softners pills (Costco brand) they worked well are are not big. The bottle says it compares to colace brand pills.

I drink a cup of smooth move herbal tea every 2 to 3 days. Has a nice taste!!
