Post Op Infection

Hello, I am from south Australia and had open gastric bypass 4 weeks ago today.

One week post surgery I started to ooze a very smelly discharge. It was horrible.

I then had to go back into hospital two weeks post surgery to have it cleaned out and IV antibiotics. It has been a very hard road to travel and I still have a vac dressing attached that I have to change twice weekly. I have not yet made it back to work and I am quite depressed about the whole situation.

The only good thing is the 17kg I have lost in the last 5 weeks!

So I am not sure why I have posted. I know I am a long way from a lot of others. I guess I just felt so alone and needed to get some of it off my chest!!!
