Pregnancy?

Hey Everyone, I was hoping to find some good answers I am about to get surgery in hopefully Sept. I have birth control in my arm (implanon) but i hered after surgery it dont work due to not absorbing or something to that affect, does anyone know if this is true? and how likely is it to get pregnant after surgery I hered that rises too? Can anyone Help?

I understand your concern. I also have the implanon. My ob/gym doc explained that hormones are directly linked to your fat cells, so with weight loss it is much easier to get pregnant. I was told that implanon works better than the pill because it doesn't have to be absorbed thru your stomach. My doc also advised me to be very careful and consider a backup method for the first 2 years postoperative.
