Welcome Spark. The band isn't a miracle cure or the perfect solution, but I think most of us are happy that we made the decision to do it. I'm sure you will be too. Best of luck to you.

Welcome, Spark!

Congrats on starting the process. If you have questions - feel free to ask them - but most have probably already been answered if you use the search feature.

Hang out here, read lots and enjoy the journey!

Welcome from Texas Spark and great luck to you on the lapband. As Robin said the only regret you will have is why did'nt I know about this before now. I am almost at my goal (ticker wrong) and would do this again in a heart beat. Keep us up-dated.:D

Welcome Spark from Cape Girardeau. If all goes well in the next few weeks I'll be getting banded in the St. Louis area. Who are you working with? Good luck.

Hey Spark! Welcome to LBT! I am from Northeast Missouri and was banded in November. Lapband has opened possiblities to me that I never thought would be possible. There are a bunch of wonderful people here and a ton of knowledge. If you can't find what you are looking for, just ask.

BTW, Are you working with a surgeon already or just researching on your own?

Welcome Spark! I'm from South of Kansas City....was banded in K.C. on Jan. 18.......got any questions, just send them our way!!!

HELLLLLLLLLLLO FELLOW CHIEFS FAN! I'm from North of the River in KC...

This place is awesome... I am proud and happy to say that I just got my approval TODAY and now I'm off to review the PRE and POST op checklist like gas-x strips, heating pad, and liquid adult tylenol

I was from Missouri, now live in Michigan. I just got approved by my insurance and am awaiting a date. Good luck to you and let us know how your doing.

Jen

Hi Spark, and welcome. I'm in the Kansas City area. What specifically are you seeking suggestions for? We're overflowing with information, just unsure what we should share. :)

Thanks for all the words of encouragement. No specific questions right now. Just knowing where to go when I do have some is great.

Thanks again

Spark
