New Here!

So I have been lurking for awhile but I finally got the guts to post! So I just got approved for Gastric Bypass surgery! I'm having my 2nd consult next week! Ok I am getting a little cold feet! I'm scared to death that I am not doing the right thing by getting the surgery! Ok so everyone out there that has had the surgery, was it worth it???? I have 4 kids at home so how long is the recovery process? Any stay at home moms out there? I need encouragement!

I haven't had my surgery yet. But I am a stay at home mom of two. The surgery is scary, but I know in my heart it's the only way for me to be as healthy as I can be. Especially for myself and my family. Good luck and I'm sure you'll make the right decision for you..

Im a stay at home mom of one. My husband is an over the road truck driver so we only see him 2-3 times a month. I have surgery scheduled for Friday August 3rd. Surgery is scary but it's definitely worth it. You will do just great :)

I'm a stay at home mom of 4 ranging from 1 to 14 in age. I was down about 3 days then fine my energy was a little low but I just cleaned the house really well before surgery and had to do things at my own pace after I'm 1 month out and say yes do it.

Mami you're doing great. I had doctors appointment today and I am down 51 pounds. My surgery was April 23rd. I asked my surgeon was that good and he said what do you think. I said I guess it's ok. He said that I'm doing great. He said if I keep doing what I'm doing I should be able to loose another 30 pounds by my next appointment which is in three months.

I had my surgery on 4-11-12 and it was the best decision of my life. I had the open gastric bypass and was back at work on day 14.

Berniec you are doing great. The month haven't ended yet so I think I can lose another 15lbs but I'm in no hurry. I keep thinking about sagging. I'm working out my arms like crazy.
