  • If you haven't done so already, now is a good time to sample some Protein shakes and see what you like. Myoplex, Muscle Milk, Synthrax and Pure Protein (my favorite) are all popular. Most of the shake

But as soon as I get to lovin one TH's teas they deem it seasonal and take it away from me:( They took my diet chai (that addiction was hard to get over) and then the diet blueberry tea (though my son says that one is back)! I'll have to stop and check before I go to work Friday as well as grabbing some Mio.

I bought the blueberry Lemonade this morning. YUM! :)

I was the same way! In fact I never felt thirsty before surgery but now, I carry ice water with me at all times.

I hope I am like that. I grew up on soda.....never drank milk or water but koolaid and soda. That is so my biggest vice. Fortunately I recognized that before I had kids. They all three love milk and choose water oaver just about any beverage. But I never allowed them to have soda til they were older and only on special occassions.

I will drink water but only at certain times. I'm looking forward to the money I will save from not drinking soda.

You will save a lot & it has a lot of sugar. Diet bad because they day it stretch your tummy.

How soon prior to surgery (besides the obvious NOW) is recommended to stop? I cut soda completely out of my diet a few yrs ago & lost a good bit of weight. But when I began drinking it again it piled back on...no surprise.

Soda makes my belly grow. I stop 1 month before surgery.

Then I guess I need to do the obvious and stop now. I am beginning all of my preop testing and was told I could possibly have surgery by mid August. I am going to go ahead and start on the preop diet so that it isn't a delay.

Yes you should plus soda isn't healthy even for skinny people.

I switched to diet pop 3 weeks pre op and had my last can the day before surgery I was a coca-cola addict I drank 6-8 cans a day. I thought that was gonna be the hardest thing to kick. I've only craved it once in the last 5 weeks. I love my iced green tea now. Took a sip of my husband's RC cola the other day (my 2nd choice favorite pop) and it tasted horribly sweet. I'm so happy I had this surgery

I hope thats how it goes for me. I drink a lot too. Prior to having kids I drank diet. But when i was prego my Dr said it was safer to drink the regular, so i switched and never switched back.
