When can we start swimming in the lake and swimming pools after surgery?

My dr said 4 weeks after surgery to make sure the incisions are completely healed.

That's what I'm doing. I went to a bday swim party and... Everyone was swimming. I had to make it very clear that I will dangle my feet in but they can't throw me in. It sucked I felt like a party pooper

I was two weeks. Dr advised not to stay in for two long since your skintissue soften and can mess with incisions. I love getting in the pool with my kids!

I was told once all the skin glue came off. It took almost 4 weeks. If you have steri-strips I think they want you to wait until they all fall off too.

I am a month out and just started swimming .... my doctor wanted me to wait till it was completely closed so no chance of infection
