So I am 9 days post op, I want to eat something so bad today its unreal! I am supposed to stay on stage 2 diet until I see my surgeon next Friday, the 20th. I keep trying to tell myself it's only 1 more week, I can do this, ugh!

You can do it!!! I had the same feelings and cravings. It's really hard but your new stomach is still healing and you don't want to damage it. And be prepared to wait longer. Because next is your mushy foods and that's alot longer. I am still on mushy for about another week and I am craving stuff like crazy. And the one time I cheated I ending up being sick all day. It wasn't worth it!!! I wish you the best of luck. Stay strong!!!!! .

You can do it. You did it before surgery and you can do it now. I'm on my fifth day of the pre op diet. I didn't think I could do it but I've come too far to quit now. I kept having cravings too but they will pass when you look at the bigger picture. I actually stopped watching so much tv because every commercial in nothing but food. I wish you luck. Quit counting the days that might help.

Hang tough! Have you weighed? Seeing a few ponds less will help make you stronger.

Carb and sugar withdrawal is so hard.

Having a Protein drink when the crave hits will help to quiet the urge.

There are so many ways to prepare it that you can turn them into a

Here are a couple of things I have done to get me through.

I always use a blender.

Cold coffee with two scoops vanilla Protein with 5 ice cubes. Sometimes I use chocolate protein.

Crystal Light mix of whatever flavor I am in the mood for, 2 scoops unflavored protein, and ice cubes.

Thanks ladies! :-) I don't know what I would do without you guys! Iwas definitely having carb cravings! But, I didn't give in. I can hold out until Friday when I hopefully get to have mushies!

I have weighed myself and I've lost 24 lbs in 3 weeks! 1 1/2 inches in my hips, my tummy is still a bit puffed up still. I noticed that my pants are quite looser, yippee!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
