  1. I like the Atkins products as well. They are a great option when a crave hits. Just watch out for eating them too often lol

    Sooo Dry!

This is the first I have heard of this type of problem. Sounds terrible, I hope something works for you soon.

    Sooo Dry!

From what I understand you dab it in the effected area. I've heard it's fantastic for sunburn.
  4. You will be fine that is.
  5. It took me about 5 weeks before I had my first feeling of being hungry. Focusing on your proton is the most important thing. Just follow your nutritionist schedule for relearning to eat and you will be found. .

    Constipation After Surgery

    Definitely make an appt.
  7. Just start with one tablespoon and see how it goes. That is what my nutritionist told me to do and I have not had any problems. Mix it with chocolate protein and you might feel like you are having a peanut butter cup!
  8. I appreciate you getting me. Thanks. For about two weeks I was craving Peanut Butter like a mad woman and decided to boost my Protein shakes to four a day and the want has subsided thank goodness.

    Sooo Dry!

I have never tried it but I hear Milk of Magnesia helps with skin irritation as well. No clue it it is true.
  10. John, it appears many can't just get along. I did not react differently or say anything in my post than I would not have said in person. Although I am deemed as judgemental simply because I expressed my opinion, I find it very interesting that many are doing exact that. In addition to pretzels and chocolate covered raisins I also miss Bojangles Fried chicken. Having the grilled chicken from the sandwich simply is not the same.
  11. Isn't it amazing how quickly our bodies change! My favorite is when people I have not seen in a while tell me I look 10 years younger. One co-worker told me I sparkle now lol. Favorite compliment so far.
  12. I find it entertaining that a response of honesty is seen as judgemental when that is exactly what many are doing. I also think it is funny that apparently there is no freedom to express opinions although most say that is what this is for. And by the way.... I miss pretzels and chocolate covered raisins.
  13. Thanks. I came to this thread to express what I missed and was upset to see some were subjecting themselves to things that were bad for them and felt they needed a reality check. I have been so successful and feel so fantastic I want everyone to have the same joy. I know several people that have had the surgery and because they began to cheat and have a taste of the things they missed, some have gained back nearly all they lost simply because they tasted themseves right back to their old lifestyle. Happy trails.
  14. It should be fine, but you might find it a bit greasy now. Good luck with the new you!
  15. Tough love ...close the thread If you don't want to read it. Two weeks out and you are trying to eat pizza? And people are trying to drink sodas and have junk food? NEVER NEVER NEVER miss a meal time. You went all day with just Water ? Really? If your day is that busy prep ahead and bring some Protein powder with you so you can have some nourishment.. This surgery is not a forever fix. You have anywhere from 8 months to about a year referred to as the honeymoon phase when weight loss is pretty easy. After that it is all on you to keep it going and to be a long term success. If you do not take this time to LEARN how to eat healthy and STAY AWAY from the things that got you to the point of surgery in the first place you will continue to have struggles with dumping and returning weight.
  16. The prep diet really is hard but put in your mind that it is the first test of the new you. We all have to learn to refuse the foods and lifestyles that got us to this point.

    Constipation After Surgery

I drink Myralax every day per docs orders. Once you body adjusts to it all will be fine.
  19. Thank you all so much. Y'all help keep me strong. I look forward to seeing pics of y'all!
  20. Thank you so much! I feel like a hot mama too!
  21. Starting weight 280, Surgery on 8/15/2011, 8 months out 84 lbs down. 2nd pictur taken approx 3 weeks ago? SUPER HAPPY,
  22. I am so sorry to hear this. I agree go to the doctor! You may have a healing issue or you may just be adding food too soon. My doctor was very conservative on the food schedule and at four weeks post op was when I finally started with mushy foods. I have never had a problem, at eight months out I am only 85 lbs down but have minimal loose skin. Don't expect it to simply melt off. We have to learn to work it off. Check with your doc and I wish you much success!
