Pre op diet and feeling nauseous

Hi all! I'm on day 2 of my clear liquids only diet and I'm feeling very nauseous. Any tips on how to deal with this or how long it lasts? I'm scheduled to be sleeved on thurs. I'm afraid I'm going to start puking then not be able to drink anything. I breezed through yesterday. Should've known it couldn't be that easy lol.

Switch to sips. Call the surgeon and ask if you can take any anti-nausea preparations. And best of luck!

Thank you! I called them and they said "well, just keep an eye on it and call us if you start getting sick and can't hold down liquids". Also told me to try getting in some protein-if I could drink I would happily do that! Um thanks for nothing! So I'll probably be calling back later. I feel like they aren't taking me real seriously :(

Have you been trying hot or warm liquids? Sometimes they can help to calm your tummy. For me it was all the acid churning around in there that suddenly had nothing to do but make me nauseous. It helped knowing why (sort of!). I was a super big baby when it came to nausea, so I feel for you!

Warm and cold. I got some isopure down and am feeling better. Now drinking some unjury chicken broth. I am a big baby about nausea. I hate to throw up. Maybe I just needed some protein? Who knows. Needless to say, this preop diet thing isn't real fun.
