Burping and gas

I am 4 weeks out and I take Prilosec every morning and gas x as needed and I can not stop burping! I could win some contests! I drink slowly, eat slowly etc.

Is this going to last forever?

I'm having the exact same issue, 5 weeks post op. I'm going to ask my DR about it on my next checkup. It's embarrassing.

I just had my surgery on Tuesday and the burping started yesterday. I'd describe it more like belching. It's awful. Any solutions?

Yes it is like belching! Mine has actually subsided a bit. Not sure what I did??

I'm about 3 1/2 months out and everytime I eat and/or drink I gurgle in my throat, tummy, etc....and it gets loud. Very embarrassing LOL
