Surgery DONE! :)

Hello, I am new here and just had my sleeve surgery on 9/16/13. I previously had the lap band placed in January 2009, and due to slippage it was removed May 2013. My surgeon was and still is so GOOD, I am so so glad I found out about him and had the sleeve done by him. I woke up with pain under control, (which never happens, lol), little to no gas feeling, and I felt actually better meaning no bloating feeling like I did before surgery. Yes I had swelling and bloating, but seemed like worse before surgery, I thank my doctor for doing an amazing job! Pain has not been to bad since coming home, same issues as everyone else the sleeping has been the worst for me. This am I did get pain in my right side that went to my back, doesn't feel like gas pain and so did some moving/walking sitting back down to see what happens. I am sure it is from extra stitches and part of my stomach being a little more difficult to come out, plus my surgery was longer then the normal hour and a half. I had some scar tissue to clear out and my doctor actually took his time instead of rushing thru. I feel like I have been given a second chance at being healthy, and I am going to get this weight back off of me so I get that healthy feeling again.

Welcome and congrats on a successful surgery. I was also on the 16th, and I'm feeling pretty good as far as recovery goes. Good luck to you in this next phase!
