Post op taste or food changes?

I'm pre op and still trying to decide which surgery to have. 90% leaning toward the sleeve. I'm curious to know if one surgery or the other changes your food preferences?

I used to love plain water and chicken. cant stand either of them now. Good luck with your decision

I had the sleeve and yes my tastes have changed. I never In a million years thought that would happen to me.

I can honestly say that my tastes for food and drinks (including water) have not changed post surgery. My surgery date was July 31. I have not eaten anything that has disagreed with me. Totally surprised by this since so many posters have had problems. I am very greatful.

I have not had any changes in my food or drink preferences. I wish I had lost the desire for some foods...no such luck! :D

I have definitely lost some taste for food. No longer like eggs, chicken is a struggle and beef is a struggle. I don't crave sweets at all nor chips or salty things. Water I have to have lemon or lime in it. Plain I do not like. It has not been a bad thing. I've lost 42 lbs so far and I was sleeved a month ago on Aug 20th!

My tastes have definitly changed..i used to be hugly addicted to sweets and now i could care less. I used to always crave bread and now i could care less. I used to eat salty greasy things and now i could care less...I love love love sour and tart things like rainbow sorbet(still on full liquids) and lemonade and limeade.
